The Jivamukti Yoga method is a physical, ethical and spiritual practice, combining vigorous yoga as an exercise, physical style based on vinyasa with adherence to five central principles: shastra, bhakti, ahimsā, nāda and dhyana.
The term Jimamukti derives from Sanskrit जीवन्मुक्ति (jivanmuktih), where jiva means the living soul of the individual and muktista means liberation from the cycle of reincarnations. In essence, the ultimate goal of Jivamukti Yoga is to achieve ultimate liberation during one’s lifetime.
