In the physical yoga practice, we stretch MUSCLES and yet, most of the cues are tailored towards bone alignment. If we aim to stretch muscles shouldn’t the cues also be about MUSCLES?
This 20-hour teacher training will dive into the Body Smart Yoga method and functionality on understanding the asanas as they relate to muscular engagements versus bone alignments.
We will approach the anatomy of asanas in relevant and easy-to-digest way. We will debunk some old myths around yoga cues and assists and look into how yoga can be modified to fit the modern-day yogi and their daily life.
This training is an integrative experience mixing drills, adjustments, flows, and lectures to better understand from every learning style and perspective.
WHO IS IT FOR?
This training is for YOU…
If you’ve ever had a student ask you specific questions after class, around alignment or sensations in their body and you may not know exactly how to explain what they are experiencing in a direct and comprehensive way.
Or if yoga is a part of your life and you want to deepen the understanding of your practice by detecting when you feel discomfort on and off the mat sooner. You will be able to asses where and why that is and how you can personally alleviate tension.
