From the four Divine Mansions to Thai Touch
“Letting go is by far the most difficult asana.”
Sava in Sanskrit means corpse, Asana posture from here corpse posture.
Although it looks easy, it is considered the most difficult of the Asanas.
A precious gift: with your body still, keeping your mind quiet but alert, you learn to relax.
Relaxation is a true art, requiring you to relax your mind and surrender totally to the present moment.
We also struggle to let go of the belief that everything can only happen when we move and act. With Savasana we can experience a deep relaxation that regenerates, a total release.
In surrender, the mind finds a home in the still, stable body, finding harmony.
The Thai Touch, the Thai Massage, is permeated by the same pillars of Buddhism, because in the beginning, this wonderful art was spread inside the temples by the monks. The four Divine Abodes or Brahmavihara:
Metta, Karuna, Upekkha, Mudita are important elements to understand how to calibrate your Thai Touch.
In these two hours we will introduce ourselves to the four Divine Abodes with the help of short meditations; we will experiment with some simple Thai Massage techniques by receiving and offering them; finally, guided by the principles of the unconquerable, we will accompany ourselves to surrender, the invitation to Savasana.
